See a Class in 30 Seconds

45 minutes. See what actually happens in the room.

A real musical adventure — every time.

Every 45-minute class follows the same arc. For children, that predictability builds mastery — they know what's coming, which means they feel genuinely in charge. For caregivers and seniors, it means you can relax and be fully present.

Allegro

Bright & welcoming

Lively music is already playing as families arrive. Shakers get passed around. Kids start moving right away. The room comes alive.

Largo

Calm & relaxing

Slow, calming music. No activity expected — just listening, swaying, or resting. The shift into Largo is one of the defining moments of every class — a chance to discover what stillness actually feels like in your body.

Vivace

Fast & playful

Energy returns. The same simple musical idea comes back — now faster, louder, more alive. Toddlers carry instruments to seniors. Real connection happens right here.

Boogie!

Joyful & shared

Everyone joins in — dancing, moving, a little chaotic in the best way. Not a wind-down — a release.

Why real music?

Bach & Boogie means Bach — and Boogie. We play the great composers alongside the Beatles, Elvis, Sinatra, and timeless songs people already know and love. Music that feels familiar across generations. No gimmicks, no kiddie versions — just the real thing.

Heard in the room

Parents, seniors, and the communities that host us.

”Our 2-year-old kicks off every weekend with singing, dancing, and instruments. What could be better? And as a mom who just can’t with more ‘kid’ music, I’ve had a blast, too. Highly recommend!”

— Kat A., parent

”My son and I had a fabulous time — fun, playful, educational, and JOYFUL!! The fact that it’s held at an assisted living facility touched me more than words can say. My late father was in a home, and I recall how much music meant to him there.”

— Michelle, parent

”Bach & Boogie is fun, welcoming, and completely unique. The multigenerational format is a win-win for kids, parents, and seniors — and it’s wonderful to introduce real composers and musical vocabulary to kids this young.”

— Peri, nanny & parent

”This is the best thing they ever did here.”

— Dan, resident · said with a tear in his eye

”When you see them it makes you feel younger and happier. My grandchildren live in Connecticut and Montana. I’ll be back next week.”

— Art, resident

”Bach & Boogie has created meaningful connections between our residents and the greater Melrose community. The intergenerational aspect is what truly makes this program special.”
